Bilbao’s Guggenheim Museum former financial director Roberto Cearsolo appeared in court for an hour and a half at a court in Bilbao on Tuesday. He is accused of embezzling 478,000 euros from the accounts of the museum.
The accused himself confessed_ in a letter his lawyer sent to Guggenheim’s director Juan Ignacio Vidarte, last April 11 when internal investigations started_ that between 1998 and 2005 he had appropriated large amounts of money that belonged to some societies of the museum.
Vidarte ratifies “all terms” of his lawsuit against Cearsolo
After Cearsolo testified, Guggenheims director Juan Ignacio Vidarte also appeared in court in his capacity as plaintiff to ratify “all terms” of his lawsuit against the former financial director.
