Chinese Illegal casino dismantled at hairdresser’s in Barcelona

Catalonian police have dismantled in L'Eixample in Barcelona an illegal casino placed in a hairdresser’s managed by Chinese origin citizens.

Big amounts of money were bet in the premises, more than 22.000 euros in cash were confiscated in card games and dominoes.

On December 12th, administrative police unity knew about these premises and entered the hairdresser’s, where there were still some customers, and informed the owner they would check that place, so that they found out the loft.

They found 12 Chinese origin people distributed in two small lounges without any kind of ventilation, who they identified.

Five playing tables

Moreover, they found five different sized playing tables, 193 French playing cards and 22.140 euros, which were confiscated. There was a vigilance camera in the loft so that they could control the hairdresser’s access.

The fine could be up to 600.000 euros for the owners of the casino and 6.000 euros for players.
