The two questions that Basque Prime Minister Ibarretxe wants to suggest in October 25th referendum will ask citizens if they agree with a talked end of violence and negotiation among Basque political parties about the right to decide. These are the questions approved by Basque Government:

1.- Do you agree on supporting a process of talked end of violence if ETA declares unequivocally its wish to cease it once and for all?

2.- Do you agree on Basque political parties -with no exclusion- starting a negotiation process to reach a Democratic Agreement about Basque people’s exercise of the right to decide, and this agreement to be subject to a referendum before 2010 finishes?

Both questions are included in the regulation bill of the referendum suggested by the Basque Prime Minister, which has been approved by the Basque Government in an extraordinary Council.

In the Chamber of Vitoria-Gasteiz the project will be possibly discussed on June 27th by unique reading procedure, with no possible corrections; it needs the support of the Basque Leftist party EHAK to go ahead.
