Hillary Clinton won by a mile in West Virginia over Barack Obama, but in the United States the most repeated question is how long will take Hillary to throw in the towel.

She looks like those boxers who are about to fall and they are “saved” from defeat by the bell that marks the end of a round. Taking into account the obstinacy Clinton has shown, she will probably last until the 3rd of June, when primary elections finish.

She has no chance to reach Obama in number of delegates contested during primaries, but she insists on using her strategy: preventing Obama from achieving enough majority to be proclaimed candidate automatically. That way, the final decision must be taken by superdelegates. However, using that strategy, she risks “breaking” the party, and that is why more and more people ask her to leave the contest.

What is Clinton looking for? There are several explanations.

Perhaps she thinks she can really win. She may think that Obama could make a mistake and that would lead the superdelegates to support Clinton.

Perhaps she tries to force Obama to take her as vice president on his candidature.

Perhaps she wants to show she got a narrow defeat and she can be again a good candidate in four years.

And perhaps it is simpler than that: she may hope someone could pay the great debt (11 million dollars) she spent on this campaign.
