Wii Fit, Nintendo's new computer game that mixes fitness and video gaming, has sold massively in Europe since its release last April 25th shifting over 600,000 units and giving the Nintento Wii the first place at the games hardware charts.

According to vgchartz.com, Wii Fit has sold 657,880 units, almost three times as many as the game at the second place.

It recently launched in Europe, and is already sold out in many high street retailers. The game is becoming the perfect present for the Mother's Day, celebrated in most of the European countries in May.

Consisting of a balance board and a selection of fitness games the Wii Fit mixes fitness exercises and old fashioned gaming. Dawn Paine, marketing director for Nintendo, says the Wii Fit is like having a personal trainer in your front room.

The game measures a player's body mass index, weight, and heart rate. Once the collected data is analysed, the game designs a tailor made exercise regime. The Wii Fit offers a selection of fitness games from yoga to ski jumping.

Players can choose the difficulty of their exercises, and these can include strenuous muscle building exercises. The balance board gives gamers the possibility to interact with the game, while performing simple exercises.
