eitb24.com’s Multimedia Special "Guernica 1937-2007" dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Gernika (Basque Country) has received two silver medals in the 7th edition of the awards "Horizon Interactive", celebrated in Indiana (U.S.).
These prizes recognize "the excellence in the production of interactive aids" and hundreds of works done for well known-brands throughout the world such as Mercedes Benz, Xerox, Dolce Gabanna, Ford, Samsung, Adobe, Nike, Reebok, HP, AOL or Sony among others have competed in their different categories.
The categories in which Multimedia Special about Gernika has been recognized have been "works published in flash" and "works in magazine & news".
The jury was formed by prestigious professionals in the design and new technologies field, coming from U.S, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa, Brazil and Turkey. Besides, their decisions were taken together with the opinions of a final non-professional users' panel, with the aim of providing the point of view of the consumer of the final product.
The "Horizon Interactive Awards" is a prestigious international competition recognising outstanding achievement among interactive media producers. The awards showcase the best web site design, CD-ROMs, DVSs, video, kiosks, video games and other interactive media. A panel of industry professionals, from diverse multi-media, graphic design and marketing backgrounds, review the entries to determine the work that is to be recognized. Entries are given either a Gold, Silver, Bronze, and in some cases honorable mention award distinctions.
The main criterion for the awards is the capacity of the works to put creativity and functionality together. To do so they take into account the creative solution and originality, design and user’s experience combination, the communication of the message, the technical worth and the effectiveness of the provided solutions.
The first complete prize of "Horizon Interactive Awards" has been for the "Xerox Global Services XGS Tour" presentation, done by the interactive agency N-Tara, from Tennessee (U.S.).
