German woman suspicious of killing her three infant children

Police say they have arrested a 44-year-old woman on suspicion she killed her three infant children after their bodies were found in her freezer.

Her children were looking for pizza when they came across the body parts. The woman turned herself in after being confronted by her mortified children.

Officials say police made the grisly find Sunday night in the town of Wenden, near Olpe, in the western state of North Rhine-Westphalia after.

Johannes Daheim is a spokesman for prosecutors investigating the case. He says the three infants are believed to have been born alive, and authorities are awaiting autopsy results to determine for sure how they died.

The woman and her family, including three grown children, have lived for years in the town. News of the discovery has surprised residents.
