An Italian second division match between Treviso and Grosseto was suspended on Saturday after reports that a policewoman had been shot and wounded outside the ground, the ANSA news agency said.
ANSA said the Serie B game was stopped after 20 minutes when spectators told the referee that something serious had happened behind a stand.
The report said there had been no violent incidents between rival fans.
Grosseto were winning 1-0 at relegation-threatened Treviso when the match was stopped.
