A small bomb exploded Saturday next to a telecommunications transmitter in a town called Lapoblación in northern Rioja region of Spain, and police found another unexploded device nearby. The Interior Ministry said no injuries or damage had been reported.

The telecommunications transmitter, placed at around 500 meters far from this town has four aerials used for firemen, Radio Nacional de España (Spanish national radio station), second channel of Basque TV ETB and Basque-Navarre highway.

A hunter heard an explosion and saw a plume of smoke in a wooded area. He then went to the spot and found a small hole in the ground and two signs next to it. The first one said "Danger, ETA bomb", suggesting it had been left by the Basque separatist group ETA. The second one was written both in Basque and Spanish and said "Don’t touch".

Civil Guard explosives experts later located an unexploded device nearby, the spokesman said, speaking on condition of anonymity in keeping with government rules.
