De la Vega augurs Ibarretxe a “second failure”

The first Vice President of the Spanish Government, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, Sent Friday to the Constitution right before the lehendakari, Juan José Ibarretxe, said he would do a referendum of the future of the Basque Country. She also advised the lehendakari that if he doesn’t follow the Constitutional text, he will have a “second failure”.

After the Ministers council meeting, , when Fernández de la Vega was questioned about the announcement of Ibarretxe of Doing a referendum next 25th of October 2008, she answered:

"For the lehendakari, only three words: Constitution, Constitution and Constitution", said the Vice president. She also gave the advice that “Those not following the rules, walks towards the failure”, and, due to that he will have a “second failure” in this legislation. The first failure came when the plan that reached the congress was rejected.
