Local Police of Pamplona/Iruña will fine a usual runner of the city's running of the bulls because he ran alongside his ten-year-old son in front of the steers.
Even if they were not running in front of the bulls, as they were already in the ring, they broke the town rule that bars under-18s from the event, and the man will be fined.
Rules for the running of the bulls
The proclamation enacted by the Pamplona/Iruña mayor, Yolanda Barcina, defines the conditions for the proper development of the celebrations, and it includes a specific section for the running of the bulls. It reminds that "the running of the bulls is a dangerous event and the security rules must be willingly and firmly observed."
There is a ban on staying in places banned by police, waiting for the bulls inside entrance halls or dead corners, keeping doors open inside the route, and staying within the route under the influence of alcohol, drugs or just inappropriately.
Inciting bulls is also banned, as well as running towards and after them, stopping midway, taking pictures from the route, as well as wearing inappropriate clothes or shoes, throwing or carrying inconvenient items.
