Canada arrests suspected member of the armed Basque group ETA

According to the association for the defense of the Basque political prisoners Askatasuna, Bittor Tejedor was arrested because he lacked a correct visa.

Migration authorities arrested a suspected member of the armed Basque group ETA last June 4 in the Canadian city of Vancouver.

According to the association for the defense of the Basque political prisoners Askatasuna, Bittor Tejedor was arrested because he lacked a correct visa.

The same sources point out that Bittor Tejedor is to appear in a Vancouver court before next July 12 adding that he remains in custody in an immigration center where he was to be visited by his lawyer Philip Rankin.
