Republicans got nervous when they saw how the polls showed a positive tendency towards Obama, so now they are trying to create doubts about the democrat candidate‘s patriotism.

Sarah Palin accused him of having terrorist friends and that is ridiculous, because she refers to Bill Ayers when she says that. Ayers was the founder of a radical group called The Weathermen, a band that put some bombs in the United States during the sixties.

Ayers and Obama live in the same neighborhood, and that is the only relationship they have. Palin will see how her accusation is melting like the lump sugar, although the Republicans keep on rummaging in Obama’s past because what it is true is that the US Senator for Illinois was involved into matters that could be trouble making now.

Obama used to work as a social worker in Chicago’s black outskirts, a time in which he rubbed shoulders with people that could be called leftist and also with black nationalists and labor unionists. The most controversial case is Jeremiah Wright’s, his parish priest. Obama had to distance himself from him after the religious Wright made an explosive statement about the American system, and it is sure that the republicans are to shake all that stuff.

Anyway, it is outrageous that they attack Obama for something that is his main virtue. If we look at the last decades, he is the only candidate that did not grow up in a rich family and the only one that had to start from the lowest point because his family did not give everything to him. In real terms, he is the only one that really knows how the street life is.
