Tau Cerámica won 77-79 at Vive Menorca after a controversial ending of the game on Sunday making a good start to the 2008/09 season .
The hosts worked well in defense all the game and were leading in the scoreboard until the end of the fourth quarter.
With 13 seconds left, Stojic scored a three-pointer to trim Menorca’s deficit to one point, 76-77. Pablo Prigioni scored two free throws for the Basques extending the lead to 76-77.
In the final move of the game, Jeter scored the first free throw, missed the second one, Bazdariz grabbed the rebound, missed the shot and Jeter himself grabbed the rebound and scored a two-pointer after the final buzzer.
Igor Rakocevic led the winners with 21 point, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Teletovic added 21 points and McDonald 10.
For Menorca, Jeter scored 20 points and Stojic, Bazdaric and Eley were also in double figures.
