Kukuxumusu

Kukuxumusu started out in Pamplona/Iruña during the Sanfermines festival of 1989. Gonzalo, Koldo and Mikel only had the simple aim of making some beer money for the festival and having some fun at the same time. They set about designing some T-shirts with funny drawings of the bull-running and selling them on the street because they felt the ones available at that time didn't come up to much.

The idea took off in a big way. As they weren’t born yesterday, they decided to try out some more designs for the Fiestas in some of the neighbouring towns. Once again they hit the nail on the head. Little by little, their fun idea started turning into a serious project, with new friends getting involved in the story.

Nowadays, Kukuxumusu is a small thriving business, dedicated to distinctive designs and drawings for different things (T-shirts, postcards, ceramics, key-holders and so on) for the commercial market.

Kukuxumusu products can be found in many different kinds of places. The T-shirts and some other products are sold at over a thousand outlets all over Europe.

But here at Kukuxumusu the drawings are also authorised to other companies (licenses). So, the drawings can be found on all kinds of articles and this means that the collection of fauna is sent to some of the most unexpected corners of the planet. These items include notebooks, copybooks, pens, bags, satchels, socks, tablecloths etc. Thanks to the commercial network, which these companies have, the distinctive Kukuxumusu brand can now be found in more than 60 countries around the world.

From the beginning, Kukuxumusu has been collaborating on many different projects with its drawings: mountaineering expeditions, ecology movements, cultural and social events, etc. It has also been fulfilling orders for a wide range of institutions, companies, thematic parks, student trips, etc. where they have been working in collaboration with Bokart.

Kukuxumusu has not forgotten its origins and its love for Sanfermin and it has made the annual fiesta its "visiting card", www.sanfermin.com, as well as creating a fantastic guide to the Sanfermin Fiesta on the web: www.sanfermin.com/guide

KUKUXUMUSU signifies in the Basque Language, "the kiss of the flea".
