Sanz: "Ibarretxe's proposal is out of place"

The president of the autonomous region of Navarre Miguel Sanz deplored the "lack of courtesy" and Ibarretxe’s proposal to Spanish President Zapatero which he thinks was "out of place", since he was defending a common organ for the Basque Country and Navarre without consulting it first.

In some statements to the press in an event about Europe Day, Sanz has warned that he did not have any news about the document, but if the references about Navarre were true, he said he thinks that explaining the Spanish president something which should be explained to the Institutions in Navarre first is a "lack of courtesy".

ETA’s last communiqué "is not a surprise"

On the other hand, he ahs also talked about Basque armed group ETA’s last communiqué and he has said "it is not a surprise. ETA surprises us less each day and demonstrates that it is a terrorist organization that cannot do anything else than sowing panic".
