Basque government’s spokeswoman, Miren Azkarate has assured today that the tripartite "is not exhausted" and that Basque Nationalist Party PNV, Basque nationalist party EA and Basque Communist Party EB’s government "keeps working, has a government plan, and keeps bringing social welfare and prosperity to this country".

In an interview with Basque TV channel ETB, Azkarate has referred in this way to the statements made by the Head of Biscay provincial government, José Luis Bilbao.

The spokeswoman of the tripartite has pointed out that Basque government respects Bilbao’s opinion, as they respect the rest of opinions, but she was convinced that "reality shows us everyday that this tripartite government is not exhausted".

As she has emphasized, the tripartite government in this legislature and in the previous one, "keeps approving law projects, plans and decrees, which are basic for social welfare, economic development and for that second economic transformation that was supported in Lisbon".

Basque government’s spokeswoman has also insisted on the fact that referendum suggested by the Basque Prime Minister must be done even if violence remains because Basque people’s future cannot depend on the Basque armed group ETA.
