Two explosive devices put in front of a state agency and the tourism office of the Basque town of Bidaxune (Northern Basque Country), have been defused by bomb disposal experts, authorities reported.
Both were 1.8-kilogram gas cylinders furnished with timers and batteries, to which chlorate bags were put together, official sources reported.
A passer-by discovered the devices, which had not exploded and have been deactivated by bomb disposal experts, the Gendarmerie reported.
Nobody has claimed the attack attempt so far.
