Spanish police arrested two people and made several searches in the Basque towns of Errenteria and Oiratzun in a new crackdown on street violence, official sources reported.
The operation, ordered by Spanish High Court judge Fernando Grande Marlaska, is a continuation of the one that took place on Friday in Gipuzkoa, in which ten people were arrested in the Basque towns of Errenteria, Oiartzun and Arrasate, accused of attacking railway stations and electrical substations.
This time, policemen arrested two people in Errenteria, where 5 searches were made. Moreover, they made other two searches in Oiratzun, but nobody was arrested in that town.
According to the same sources, the police operation is still ongoing.
