Next school year all public and private institutions of the Basque Autonomic Comunity (CAV) will educate on peace, which “priority” is the “radical no legitimizing of terrorism”.

This is the main measure of Basque Education Plan for Peace and Human Rights (2008-2011), presented today by Education Basque councillors , Tontxu Campos; Justice, Joseba Azkarraga, and Basque Government Human Rights Jon Landa, with a 6,5 millions of euros budget.

Its "priority" is the “radical no legitimizing of terrorism”. However, it is not an education antiterrorist plan”, has said Azkarraga, since “life’s right defense cannot make us forget other rights we have as citizens”.

The plan considers 90 action programs inside and outside the classes, 70 of them correspond to Basque Government. The plan’s limitation is not only education, but also cinema, EiTB, theatre and also police, Justice and prison administration.
