Javier Bardem will star in Woody Allen's next film alongside Penelope Cruz. The movie by the New Yorker will be a comedy-drama and will be shot in Barcelona this summer. The title has not bee unveiled yet, but it has been announced that it will be shot in Spanish and English. It will tell the story of two US youths who travel to Barcelona.
Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz have already worked together in Vigas Luna's Jamon, jamon (1992).
Allen, who sets most of his films in New York, is continuing with the series of productions shot in Europe he started with Match Point and Scoop.
Before he starts to film his latest production, Allen will premiere Cassandra's Dream in May, starring Edward McGregor and Tom Wilkinson.
