Iurbentia win season’s opening game at MMT Estudiantes

Quincy Lewis and Paco Vazquez delivered a two-pointer and a three-pointer in the last minute of the game to stop MMT Estudiantes from fighting back a 17-point lead at the end of the fourth quarter and give Iurbentia Bilbao Basket a win in the first game of the season.

The game was close until the third period when the Basques broke the game. At the beginning of the fourth quarter Iurbentia Bilbao Basket led 50-67.

Then, the Basques went almost for almost all the fourth quarter, only 9 points, five of them after the Madrid team cut the disadvantage to one point 70-71.

Blums, Pasalic and Lewis scored more than ten points each for Iurbentia Bilbao Basket.

Wideman led the scorers for MMT Estudiantes with 14 points, Granger added 11 points and Jasen and Cummings 10 each.
