Dozens of cultural events in San Fermin

San Fermin kicks off on Sunday and its program includes a total of 484 events. Compared to previous years there will be more international concerts this year.

Fundacion Tony Manero will hold a concert at Plaza del Castillo Square on July 6th, Nacha Pop on July 7th, The Commitments (Ireland) the following day, The Cavern Beatles (Liverpool) on 9th, La Habana de Noche (Cuba) on July 10th, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs (Argentina) on 11th, Chuck Berry and Lord Byron (USA) on 12th and to finish with, Pastora on July 13th.

Musical performances in Basque, which will take place at Taconera Park this year, include concerts of Tapia eta Leturia (7th of July), Amaren Alabak (10th of July), Esne Beltza (11th of July) and Anestesia (12th of July).

From 6th to 13th of July, rock concerts will take place at Plaza de los Fueros Square. Marky Ramone y Las Culebras will play on July 6th, Xhelazz, Blue Kapon and Leyenda Urbana on July 7th, Hamlet and Vortex the next day, M-Clan and Mr.Fylyn on July 9th, Momo and Sin direccion on July 10th, Dikers and Sueños Rotos on 11th, Obus and Motobomba on July 12th and FF Guns and A quemarropa on July 13th.

Jazz will be played at Compañía Square 8th to 11th of July. This way, Mauri Sanchis Band will be playing on July 8th, Pirineos Jazz Orchestra on 9th, Jerez-Texas on July 10th and The Saxophone Summit on July 11th.

Besides the traditional concert offered in San Fermin by Pamplona Chamber Choir on July 8th at Gayarre Theatre, a concert will be held in homage to the dead violinist and composer from Pamplona Pablo Sarasate. This will take place on July 10th together with the Navarre Symphony Orchestra and Denis Goldfeld solo violin conducted by Rolf Gupta.
